Mike Delich and Timber
The developer, Mike Delich and his dog Timber.

Fernie Vacation Properties has developed some of the most highly regarded properties on the mountain for more than a decade. Owner and Manager Mike Delich started Fernie Vacation properties in 1989 with the development of Timberline Lodges.

A graduate of the University of British Columbia's Engineering School, and the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, Mike brings the latest engineering and management techniques to every new project, along with exquisite taste and an eye for detail.

Every Fernie Vacation Property reflects the passion for skiing and the love of the outdoors that Mike and his team bring to the project. Mike's passion for skiing extends to the highest level. He is an accredited International FIS race official who has officiated World Cup and Continental Cup Ski Races. He was also the Chief of Race for downhill events at the 1988 Calgary Olympics. As well, he has coached Olympic gold medallist Kerrin Lee-Gartner and World Cup race winner Felix Belcyzk.

Mike Delich has lived in Fernie for more than 20 years, and knows Fernie Alpine Village better than anyone. The people he has surrounded himself with, from the trades to his own staff, are also locals who have grown up in the area and know what makes a successful development.

A word about our trades

Mike Delich and Fernie Vacation Properties have been developing homes here since 1989, long before Fernie boomed. While some developers have trouble finding qualified trades today, we've built relationships with the best trades in the area. It's one of the reasons our construction quality remains consistently outstanding.
